Role : Director of Construction - Project Execution

Are you a strategic construction leader with a passion for delivering complex, large-scale projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards? Our client, a leading international organisation in the infrastructure and energy sector, is seeking an accomplished Construction Director – Project Execution to drive excellence across multiple high-impact projects in Germany.

Your Role

As Construction Director, you will hold overall responsibility for the planning, preparation, and operational management of construction sites across a diverse project portfolio. You will define and implement best-in-class construction, assembly, installation, and erection concepts—ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to stringent HSE and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all construction-related project activities from concept through execution and completion.
• Develop and optimise construction, assembly, and erection strategies for complex infrastructure projects.
• Ensure full compliance with HSE, quality, permitting, and execution planning requirements.
• Oversee procurement and coordination of service providers and subcontractors.
• Establish and manage a project organisation comprising multiple teams and disciplines, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and performance.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction methods and processes.

Your Profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in senior construction leadership, ideally within large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.
• Proven track record in project execution, site management, and team leadership across multiple sites.
• Strong understanding of German construction standards, permitting processes, and HSE regulations.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills—fluent in English; German proficiency preferred.
