Position

Role: Business Development Director – DACH Region

Location: Munich or Frankfurt (Hybrid)

Travel: As required across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and EMEA

Reports to: SVP – Geo Leader (EMEA)

Role Purpose

Drive net new customer acquisition in the DACH region for Microland, a Global System Integrator with a global delivery model. The role focuses on positioning Microland’s capabilities in Managed Network Services, cloud transformation, automation, and digital workplace solutions to enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Acquisition
  • Identify, qualify, and close new logo opportunities across DACH.
  • Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with Microland’s EMEA growth objectives.
  • Global Delivery Model Understanding
  • Articulate Microland’s global delivery capabilities and value proposition to clients.
  • Ensure seamless engagement between regional sales and global delivery teams.
  • Market Development
  • Build strong CXO-level relationships in target industries (Manufacturing, Automotive, BFSI, Healthcare).
  • Position Microland as a trusted partner for digital transformation and managed services.
  • Sales Leadership
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, solution positioning, proposal development, and contract closure.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, and marketing teams to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Revenue & Pipeline Management
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility using CRM tools.
  • Thought Leadership
  • Represent Microland at industry forums, analyst briefings, and client events in the DACH region.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience: 12+ years in IT services sales, with at least 5 years in DACH enterprise market.
  • Expertise: Managed services, cloud, automation, and digital workplace solutions.
  • Global Delivery Model Knowledge: Deep understanding of GSI operating models and offshore/nearshore delivery frameworks.
  • Language: Fluent in English (mandatory); German proficiency highly desirable.
  • Network: Strong CXO-level relationships in target industries.
  • Competencies: Strategic selling, consultative approach, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
