Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AI leader to drive the direction of our AI-powered products, partnering with engineers, researchers, product managers, and tech leaders.

You will oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and governance of AI components, including foundation models, LLM optimization, and scalable cloud deployments, while mentoring teams and shaping the technical roadmap.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in CS or AI with at least 8 years of AI/ML leadership experience, or Master's with at least 6 years.
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience.
• Preferred: 5 years of experience leading an engineering team.
• Preferred: 7 years deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Preferred: Master's in CS/Engineering or relevant field.

Aufgaben

• Partner with engineers, researchers, PMs, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI software components, including foundation model training, LLM inference, similarity search, guardrails, model evaluation, experimentation, governance, and observability.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions across open-source and SaaS AI technologies.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve scalability, cost, latency, and throughput of large-scale production AI systems.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
• Attract and retain AI talent and nurture team members' personal and professional development.
• Mentor and coach team members and foster a culture of learning and staying current with AI developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or AI plus at least 8 years of experience developing or leading AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or Master's degree plus at least 6 years of such experience
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience
• Preferred: 5 years of experience managing and leading an engineering team
• Preferred: 7 years of experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or equivalent private cloud
• Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field
• Passion for staying up to date with the latest AI research and AI systems and applying novel techniques in production
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex AI concepts to peers
• Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
• Expertise in hardware, software, and AI
