Position Overview

We’re seeking a Software DevOps Engineer with good expertise building and maintaining infrastructure as code. This role is perfect for a technical leader who thrives on system optimization, values collaborative teamwork and takes ownership of delivering high-quality solutions.

Tasks

• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code fostering a GitOps culture for automated version‑controlled and trackable infrastructure changes
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure for distributed systems ensuring scalability to handle millions of records and users efficiently
• Set up and maintain automated CI / CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and ensure continuous integration and delivery
• Implement monitoring logging and alerting systems to ensure real‑time insights and proactive issue resolution maintaining system health and performance
• Work closely with domain experts the editorial team and development teams in an agile environment benefiting from a collaborative network that supports you through technical challenges

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in software development, DevOps or related technical roles
• Strong passion for learning and continuous improvement in fast‑evolving technologies
• Experience with infrastructure automation and building systems that enhance scalability and reliability
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems with ability to work in complex high‑availability environments
• Hands‑on experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred); knowledge of Cloudflare and GitLab is a plus
• Collaborative mindset - you enjoy working in teams sharing knowledge and helping colleagues grow
• Very good written and spoken German and English
