KNDS Deutschland Mission Electronics GmbH in Konstanz seeks a dedicated DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to build and maintain a secure, air-gapped CI/CD and GitOps environment for software development.

You will implement pipelines, automate infrastructure, collaborate with software and IT teams, and contribute to security, monitoring, and thorough technical documentation for ongoing operations and future upgrades.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of containers (Docker) and IaC tools, with CI/CD experience.
• Proficiency with CI/CD platforms and version control systems.
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash; Linux system administration knowledge.
• Excellent German language skills; teamwork and methodical work style.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in Konstanz. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and advancing our virtualized infrastructure environment tailored for software development within an air-gapped setting. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes that facilitate continuous integration and deployment, ensuring efficient and secure software workflows. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with software development teams and IT professionals to seamlessly integrate new software components and emerging technologies. Additionally, you will be tasked with implementing security measures to safeguard our systems and data, while also maintaining comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing operations and future upgrades.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience in a DevOps environment. Practical knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker is essential, along with experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Proficiency with CI/CD tools and platforms, as well as collaboration and version control systems, is required. Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash are necessary, complemented by solid Linux system administration knowledge. Excellent command of the German language, both spoken and written, is mandatory. The candidate should demonstrate a responsible and methodical work style, analytical thinking, creativity, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
