We are seeking a detail‑oriented Designer with experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic drafting to support product development efforts through the creation of technical drawings, Bills of Materials, and prototype documentation. This role involves using CAD systems to design moderately complex components and assemblies, assisting with prototype testing, processing Engineering Change Orders, and collaborating closely with engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create moderately complex mechanical, electrical, or electronic designs for new product components, subassemblies, assemblies, or system configurations using CAD or manual drafting methods.
• Maintain CAD equipment by following operational guidelines, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating repairs when needed.
• Generate multi‑view drawings that illustrate component relationships, define dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials; prepare required specifications and documentation; process Engineering Change Orders while ensuring compliance with established quality and cost standards.
• Compile Bills of Materials and assist in prototype assembly efforts.
• Support drawing quality and equipment functionality by helping build or source prototypes, conducting tests, analyzing results, and performing calculations related to material strength, weight, forces, and stresses using reference charts and tables.
• Assess design modifications for fit and potential interference; recommend alternatives or improvements; revise drawings as necessary and collaborate with engineers to resolve technical challenges in accordance with company policies.
• Guide less experienced drafters by setting priorities, offering technical assistance, and verifying the accuracy of their work.
