Haskoning in Germany is seeking a Design Manager for its Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team in Frankfurt. You will lead multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects for data centres, coordinating electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural disciplines, and guiding design decisions to meet client goals.

Based in Frankfurt, you will collaborate with international colleagues, travel as needed, and contribute to knowledge sharing while delivering innovative, sustainable data

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects.
• Experience with BIM360 and CDE for digital design workflows.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or German preferred.
• Strong communication with colleagues and clients.

As our new Design Manager, you will become part of the team Mission Critical Facilities in Germany. Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacenter clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.

What you bring

• Holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
• Has over 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering, and construction projects, preferably in data centres or other relevant sectors;
• Shows an affinity with digital and automated design and engineering processes (BIM360, CDE);
• Possesses good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction industry, and a good understanding of the daily (operational) business of clients;
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients, and is fluent in English (and preferably Dutch and/ or German.

You will be based in Frankfurt a.M., being part of, and contributing to, our Frankfurt a.M. office. As our clients are based in various locations nationally and internationally, flexibility towards traveling is expected.
