Rolls-Royce in Germany is seeking a mechanical/aerospace engineer to design components and complex assemblies with a strong focus on safety, manufacturability, and robustness. You will analyze current products in service to boost reliability and deliver definitions to stakeholders across manufacturing, project customers, and analysis teams in line with policy.

Capture lessons learnt.Contribute to product safety through XFMEA and risk processes. Ensure design solutions adhere to quality systems.Carry out analyses using formula-based calculations and/or automated workflows for dimensioning of parts and components (e.g. stability, stiffness, profiles, balance point, weights) and where appropriate, using analytical rules, tools and methods to underwrite the design solution against requirements.Ensure delivery of work in line with priorities, manage work through an agile management framework, and contribute to planning within a multi-disciplinary team.Who we are looking for:Degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace or equivalent.Detailed knowledge in the design of critical rotating parts like Discs and Drums and associated manufacturing processes.Experience of problem understanding, innovative problem solving, and definition of effective solutions with the ability to deal with an ambiguous and high-paced environment.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data evaluation and statistical tools.Good knowledge of aero engine design processes and specification system with core engine and relevant production knowledge being appreciated.Familiarization with additive manufacturing design principles can be beneficial.Good English written and spoken.
