Orizon GmbH, Unit Aviation is seeking a Design Engineer Aero Engines (f/m/d) for our prestigious client, an established aerospace supplier based in the Berlin region, available to start immediately.

The role focuses on designing and optimizing engine components, assemblies, and systems with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and lifecycle cost. You will work with MBD/MBE documentation, systems engineering, and cross-disciplinary concepts, in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in engineering and regional equivalent qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies.
• Good understanding of cross-discipline engineering concepts including manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analyses, cost engineering, and product definition.
• Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
• Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks.
• Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.
• Fluent English and good German language skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and optimise components, assemblies, and engine systems for safety, performance, manufacturability, cost, and lifecycle requirements.
• Create and maintain engineering definitions, models, drawings, and technical documentation using MBD/MBE methodologies.
• Apply Systems Engineering, Robust Design, risk management, and engineering analyses to validate and deliver compliant design solutions.
• Drive automation, standardisation, quality improvement, and defect prevention through efficient engineering processes and best practices.
• Support product lifecycle activities including configuration management, design changes, repairs, technical variants, and supply chain integration.
• Manage external design activities and ensure successful subsystem integration, data integrity, and stakeholder compliance.
