Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) invites a seasoned physician leader to serve as Department Chair – Radiology. The role provides administrative oversight of the department and its physicians and APPs, aligning clinical work with the Cancer Center's academic mission and advancing standards of care.

You will guide clinical, research, teaching and service activities, support clinical trials participation, manage budgets and productivity, and report to the EVP-PIC.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with board certification in Radiology and Florida medical licensure.
• Minimum 7 years of medical practice with academic medical center experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for physician leadership.

Summary

Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) Department Chair is responsible for the Administrative oversight of their Department and its Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals. The Chair ensures alignment of Faculty and APPs with the Academic mission of the Cancer Center; supports the accrual of patients to available Clinical Trials; facilitates Departmental participation in development, writing, maintenance and adherence to pathways as clinical Standards of Care; holds Faculty accountable for Clinical, Administrative, Research, Teaching and Service components of their roles; and requires Faculty to dedicate appropriate time and effort to each of these roles, in accordance with their dedicated time commitment. The Chair is accountable to the Executive Vice President / Physician-in-Chief (EVP-PIC) for the overall performance of his/her Department, including adherence to budget, clinical productivity, mission alignment and quality of care provision.

Minimum Education MD/DO As applicable Board certification in area of specialty LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION Basic Life Support (BLS) Florida Medical License, Unrestricted MD Medical Doctor (MD) DEA License Board certified (or eligible) and fellowship trained in Radiology. License/Certification Florida Department of Health DEA License Board Certification Minimum Experience Required A minimum of 7 years experience as a medical practitioner with appropriate experience in clinical care, research and education in an Academic Medical Center setting. Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required Effective leadership skills, particularly applied to Physicians and other Professionals, where team-based leadership is an essential skill. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Experience Experience in Physician Leadership is desirable, but not essential. Preferred Skills/Specialized Training Experience practicing in an oncology related specialty

Salary Range

$578,240.00 - $865,280.00

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
