Fenix Outdoor Logistics GmbH, based in Ludwigslust, is seeking a Department Lead Retail & eCom Outbound to manage a team of 20–50, ensuring safe, stable and on-time outbound shipments while meeting SLAs.

You will monitor KPIs, drive improvements, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to automation and digital development of warehouse operations; join a management team focused on performance, collaboration and sustainable logistics.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics or comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in logistics.
• Solid experience in retail logistics and warehouse/outbound processes.
• Fluent German with business-level English; strong communication with stakeholders.

We’re looking for a Department Lead Retail & eCom Outbound for a full-time, permanent position based onsite at our logistics center in Ludwigslust.

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of 20 to 50 employees at our modern logistics site in Ludwigslust. Your main responsibility is to ensure stable, safe and efficient outbound operations and the reliable, on-time processing of all shipments in line with our service level agreements.

Working closely with your team and internal Fenix stakeholders, you will monitor and continuously improve operational performance, using KPIs to identify opportunities and drive sustainable improvements. You will play an active role in optimizing processes and contributing to the further automation and digital development of our warehouse operations.

As part of the site management team, you will help shape the future of our logistics organization, ensuring efficient operations while fostering a strong, collaborative and performance-oriented team culture.

ABOUT US

Fenix Outdoor Logistics GmbH is the central logistics service provider for Fenix Outdoor International AG. From our modern logistics center in Ludwigslust, we supply all Globetrotter stores and e-commerce customers with goods on a daily basis, and we handle global B2B and B2C shipments for the group’s brands. As a dynamic team, we continuously drive the development and automation of our site forward.

YOUR JOB

• You lead and coordinate the Outbound department with a team of around 20–50 employees, including staffing, capacity planning and recruitment.

• You ensure stable, safe and efficient day-to-day operations and make sure all shipments are processed within the agreed SLAs.

• You monitor relevant KPIs and performance indicators, identify improvement potential and actively drive the performance of your area.

• You continuously optimize processes and contribute to the further development and automation of our warehouse operations.

• As an active member of the management team, you help shape solutions that ensure efficient and sustainable warehouse operations.

• You work closely with internal Fenix stakeholders, warehouse management and our brands, ensuring transparent and effective communication.

• You regularly report on operational performance, KPIs and relevant developments.

• You recruit, onboard, provide feedback to and develop your team members, fostering a strong and collaborative team environment.

• You ensure compliance with safety regulations, process guidelines and other relevant standards.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification, e.g. Bachelor Professional of Logistics / Meister Lagerlogistik.

• You have 5+ years of experience in a leadership position, ideally within logistics.

• You have solid experience in retail logistics and a good understanding of warehouse and outbound processes.

• You have a strong track record in monitoring and improving operational performance, including KPIs and SLAs.

• Experience in an international working environment is a plus.

• You are fluent in German and have good business-level English skills.

• You communicate clearly and effectively and enjoy working with different internal stakeholders.

• You are responsible, reliable, proactive and a team player with a hands-on approach.
