Join our Price team, where your expertise will shape algorithms impacting millions of daily users across hundreds of booking sites in real time. In this pivotal role, you’ll be part of a new team dedicated to designing, implementing, and enhancing our price caching algorithms, price change prediction models, and dynamic pricing strategies. You will tackle complex challenges at the intersection of experimental design, statistics, machine learning, and sequential decision analytics/dynamic optimization.
Our team is a vital part of the Deals Product unit, whose mission is to revolutionize the deal discovery experience in the hotel search industry. You will collaborate closely with three other data science teams, product managers and engineers.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and data engineers to solve complex problems and explore new business opportunities
• Drive innovation by developing and implementing advanced data-driven solutions that align business priorities with technical feasibility
• Establish new evaluation metrics and simulation techniques to improve the assessment of test performances and long-term impacts
• Communicate results and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What you’ll need to thrive:

• 5+ years’ practical experience in data science, machine learning, or applied science roles
• Advanced academic background (MSc or PhD) in optimization, machine learning, economics, statistics, or related fields, with a solid understanding of software engineering
• Expertise in machine learning, and specialized knowledge in stochastic optimization, reinforcement learning, dynamic pricing or a related field
• Deep knowledge of statistical concepts and experience with experimental design
• Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment, balancing cutting-edge research with pragmatism for real-world impact
• Proficient communication skills, comfortable presenting ideas and findings to varied audiences
• Expertise in Python or R (including relevant libraries), solid SQL skills, and experience with Cloud computing services
