Jobbeschreibung
EMBRACE THE WORLD: HOP ON YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE WITH US!

Welcome to Tourlane! We're a tech company on a mission to provide the best experience in travel.

We provide fully personalized, multi-stop trips to 50 destinations around the world and counting. With over 100,000 travellers in the DACH region and France, we’re on our way to becoming Europe’s leading travel company.

We know that vacation time is precious. Our goal is to help customers discover the world and create lasting memories. We focus on creating tailor‑made experiences for our customers because we believe life is too short for standard travel.

We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and embark on this journey with us.

What you will do:
  • Own the Data Science behind our business steering: Unite isolated ML models into a single decision layer that powers budget allocation and conversion rate optimization, creating bottom‑line impact worth millions.
  • Ship AI agents: Design, deploy, and monitor production‑grade LLM agents that improve customer experience in sales and operations while keeping humans in control.
  • Predict lead quality: Develop and calibrate models that combine likelihood‑to‑book with expected order value to inform routing, lead prioritization, and threshold decisions across the funnel.
  • Run deep conversion analyses: Quantify drivers across our sales funnel and separate marketing effects from operational performance using robust statistical methods.
  • Ensure reliability: Ship well‑documented models with calibration, drift/anomaly detection, and change controls that keep business metrics stable.
  • Own broadly: Take end‑to‑end ownership across a wide range of modeling methods, moving quickly on diverse use cases to create maximum impact.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Statistics depth: Strong grounding in statistics, ensemble models, linear/logistic models, seasonality/time‑series, and causal inference.
  • Experimentation expertise: Design and analyze online experiments beyond simple A/B tests - sequential methods, variance reduction, guardrails, and metric design.
  • Agentic AI: Experience with applied LLM systems (RAG pipelines, agent workflows) and integrating them into production services, including monitoring and shipping continuous improvements.
  • Python fluency: Proficient in building production‑grade modeling pipelines (pandas, scikit‑learn/statsmodels), writing clean, testable code, and implementing calibration, monitoring, and drift detection.
  • SQL experience: Comfortable writing SQL queries to fetch and transform data.
  • End‑to‑end ownership: Proven track record owning the full lifecycle of DS/ML products—from ideation and design to development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring—embedded in a real software environment.
In addition, here are the skills we are looking for:
  • Analytical Thinking
  • Trust and Collaboration
  • Adaptability
  • Decision Making
What we offer:
  • We value your participation in Tourlane’s success and complement your cash compensation with a package of employee stock options (ESOP)
  • Flexible working setup to get the most of your working hours: we offer full flexibility in our Hybrid/Remote model, however we do expect that you take advantage of our lively Berlin office 2‑3 days per week
  • We share your passion for traveling: enjoy working abroad through our new program
  • We support all the diverse communities that make us Tourlane: join or create your own Employee Resource Group (ERG) and connect with Tourlaneans
  • Dog‑friendly office: we can’t wait to meet your furry friend!

Sounds interesting? We are excited to get to know you!
