Zusammenfassung

Exostaff GmbH in Darmstadt, Germany, is seeking a highly qualified Systems Engineer to join the team supporting EUMETSAT data processing systems. The role focuses on end-to-end data processing chains for meteorological and earth observation products from satellites.

You will contribute IV&V activities, scripting, UNIX/Linux, documentation, configuration control, and work autonomously in a multicultural environment.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience with data processing (Level-0/1/2) of meteorological and earth observation products.
• IV&V of data processing systems and end-to-end processing chains, including test plans and reports.
• Scripting languages and databases (e.g., Perl, Python, shell, PostgreSQL).
• UNIX/Linux operating systems experience.
• Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation.
• Configuration control knowledge.
• High degree of autonomy; strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Interpersonal awareness; university degree in a relevant discipline.

• Proven experience in the integration, verification and validation (IV&V) of data processing systems and/or processors, including generation of test plan, test specification, procedures and test reports for end-to end processing chains
• Knowledge of scripting languages and databases (e.g. Perl, Python, shell, PostgreSQL)
• Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
• Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation
• Practical knowledge in Configuration Control
• High degree of working autonomy
• Problem solving
• Good analytical skills

• University degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline

Mandatory Skills Within The Team

• Proven experience in System Engineer development and system design

The Following Experience Would Represent Additional Assets

• Knowledge of Spacecraft and/or ground segment operations
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java and IDL)
• Knowledge and/or experience of quality control, calibration and validation
• Knowledge of Development and maintenance of operational procedures and/or configuration data;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards
• Knowledge of DOORS
• Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and related tools (SysML, Enterprise Architect)
• Fluency in English is mandatory; this is the working language at EUMETSAT, and the Contractors must be able to work effectively in this language both in written and spoken form.
