Zusammenfassung

CS GROUP sucht für Darmstadt eine/n Fachkollegen/in zur Mitwirkung bei der Datenaufnahme, -verarbeitung und Produktverteilung im operativen Umfeld. Sie arbeiten an nahezu Echtzeit-Systemen, entwickeln Betriebskonzepte und unterstützen neue Missionen von der Planung bis zur Schulung.

Sie bringen Erfahrung mit UNIX/Linux, Python/Perl-Skripten sowie C/C++/IDL mit und arbeiten eigenständig in einem internationalen Team. Englisch ist erforderlich; weitere Sprachen von Vorteil.

Qualifikationen

• Abschluss: Bachelor oder Master in einer relevanten Fachrichtung.
• Nachweisliche Erfahrung in nahezu Echtzeit-, datengetriebenen, automatisierten Systemen mit großen Rechnernetzen.
• Erfahrung mit UNIX/Linux-Betriebssystemen.
• Kenntnisse in der Entwicklung/ Wartung von Betriebsverfahren und Konfigurationsdaten.
• Kenntnisse in Skriptsprachen und Datenbanken (z.B. Perl, Python, Shell, PostgreSQL).
• Erfahrung in Vorbereitung und Bereitsstellung von Betriebsdiensten für neue Missionen oder Betriebssysteme, inkl. Tests, Dokumentation und Schulungen.
• Erfahrung in der Integration, Verifikation und Validierung von Datenverarbeitungssystemen inkl. Testpläne und Testspezifikationen.
• Selbständige Arbeitsweise, analytische Fähigkeiten und Teamfähigkeit.
• Hohe Eigenverantwortung, unter Druck arbeiten können.
• Interkulturelle Kompetenz; Englisch fließend, weitere europäische Sprachen vorteilhaft.
• Kenntnisse ECSS-Standards und IT-Sicherheit.

Aufgaben

• Datenaufnahme, -verarbeitung und Produktverteilung.
• Daten- und Produktanalyse.
• Überwachungs- und Berichtsprozesse für operative Leistung, inkl. Erstellung von Berichten und Produktionsstatistiken.
• Vorbereitung der Operationen für neue Missionen, inkl. Tests und Schulungsmaßnahmen.
• Testen und Implementieren neuer Produkte.
• Aufbau, Umsetzung und Aktualisierung betrieblicher Verfahren und Dokumentationen.
• Fehlersuche und Erste-Fehler-Wartung; On-Call-Support.
• Koordination mit externen Organisationen und Dienstleistern.
• Teilnahme an technischen Meetings und Reviews.

Stellenbeschreibung

• Data ingestion, processing, and product distribution;
• Data and Product analysis;
• Operational performance monitoring and reporting, including the development, documentation and maintenance of the relevant tools for e.g., production statistics generation and reporting, PDGS monitoring and reporting;
• Operations preparation and readiness for new missions, including the preparation and execution of operational tests, development and maintenance of operational documentation and procedures, and preparation and delivery of training activities to support the transition to operational service;
• The testing and the implementation of new products;
• The setting-up, implementation and update of operational procedures and documentation;
• Anomaly investigation;
• First line maintenance, including on-call support;
• Co-ordination with external organisations and service providers;
• Attendance at technical meetings;
• Participation to formal reviews.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master´s degree in a relevant discipline is required;
• Demonstrated experience in near real time, data driven, automated systems with large computer networks;
• Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems;
• Knowledge of Development and maintenance of operational procedures and/or configuration data;
• Knowledge of scripting languages and databases (e.g., Perl, Python, shell, PostgreSQL);
• Demonstrated experience in data processing operations preparation and readiness activities for new missions or operational systems, including testing, preparation of operational documentation and procedures, and training;
• Proven experience in the integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) of data processing systems and/or processors, including generation of test plan, test specification, procedures and test reports for end-to-end processing chains;
• Ability to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner;
• High degree of working autonomy;
• Problem solving and analytical skills;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• High degree of interpersonal awareness;
• Experience in working as part of a multicultural team;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
• Experience in validation of operational procedures;
• Demonstrated experience in operations build up activities;
• Practical knowledge in Configuration Control;
• Knowledge in Computer systems, Network systems and IT Security;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards;
• Experience of validating complex remote sensing data processing systems;
• Development and maintenance of operational procedures;
• Programming languages (e.g. C, C++ and IDL);
• Knowledge of spacecraft and/or ground segment operations;
• Demonstrated experience of Instrument data and product processing (Level-0 to 2) of meteorological and/or earth observation products;
• Knowledge and/or experience of quality control, calibration and validation.
