You will ensure uptime, performance, backups, and security, while leading schema changes and data migrations, and collaborating with engineers, BI and QA.

ComeOn Group is a data-driven company, and our Data Platform Engineering & Operations team is critical to enabling business success. We are seeking a technically strong Data Platform Administrator with deep operational expertise, someone confident in managing MySQL and MongoDB across all environments. You will be responsible for platform uptime, schema changes, performance optimization and managing large-scale data operations and migrations. This role combines hands‑on operational work with growth into broader data engineering responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to influence platform reliability, support analytics and drive key projects across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own MySQL, MongoDB and related systems across development and production environments.
• Ensure database uptime, reliability, performance tuning, monitoring, scaling, backups and security.
• Manage schema changes, large-table operations, and data migrations with confidence and precision.
• Lead database upgrades and work with teams to refactor legacy structures into modern, scalable designs.
• Automate operational tasks to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Support real‑time pipelines and data flows across teams.
• Support audits, change management and regulatory compliance.
• Manage access controls and release processes.
• Partner with developers, product owners, BI teams and QA to ensure high-quality, reliable data.
• Collaborate with the team and grow into broader engineering responsibilities over time.

About you

• 5+ years of experience in MySQL and MongoDB administration.
• Experience with schema changes, large-table operations, performance tuning and migrations.
• Strong operational mindset: high‑availability setups, backups and platform reliability.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (BigQuery, AWS, GCP).
• Scripting/automation experience (Python, Bash, SQL). Proactive, confident and ready to take ownership.
• Collaborates effectively with developers, product owners, BI teams, QA and DevOps.
• Eager to modernize legacy database structures and expand into broader data engineering responsibilities, including understanding modern dataflow tooling and pipelines.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
