Data Engineer (m/f/d) - Bochum

Your Mission: As a Data Engineer, you are a key driver of our digital transformation. You develop and maintain scalable data integration solutions and ensure high data quality, availability, and efficiency – with Microsoft Fabric as our central data platform. You design optimized database structures, implement automated data quality checks, and document solutions in a clear and structured way. Working closely with the CIO, the Data Analytics team, IT colleagues, and business stakeholders, you contribute to strategic data initiatives and support the development of innovative, AI-ready data architectures.

You evaluate and implement new technologies, support data governance, and actively enable the business with modern reporting and analytics solutions. Your work lays the foundation for a seamless and intelligent data ecosystem at Trafineo.

Your Profile:

You hold a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and bring at least three years of experience in a data engineering role. You are highly proficient in Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Databricks, and you have solid knowledge of SQL, Python, and Spark.

Your experience includes integrating data from diverse business applications (ERP, CRM, web applications) and working with cloud technologies, especially within the Microsoft Azure environment. You are fluent in English, with German being a plus, and your analytical mindset, structured working style, and strong communication skills enable you to handle complex data challenges with confidence and precision.
