Inverto, a leading procurement and supply chain consultancy, seeks a data engineering specialist to join our IT team, designing and operating integrations, APIs, and data pipelines for our tool and AI landscape.

You will contribute to data warehouse governance, implement DevOps practices, and help scale our data infrastructure. A collaborative environment awaits with opportunities to shape critical systems and impact business outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, DB design, API development and DevOps.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on ETL/ELT pipeline experience.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD; ideally Azure DevOps.
• AI data infrastructure knowledge; familiarity with LLM integrations preferred.
• Team player with English fluency; German language skills are a plus.

• Database integrations & APIs – Designing, building, and operating database integrations and RESTful APIs for system and frontend integration, contributing to backend architecture for business applications.
• Data warehouse & governance – Building and maintaining data warehouse structures for our tool and AI landscape while ensuring data quality and governance standards from design onwards.
• Data & AI pipelines – Designing and implementing data and AI pipelines that power our business applications and AI systems.
• DevOps – Implementing and managing DevOps standards within the team, building CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring stable and scalable deployment processes.
• Dynamic work environment & impact – Joining a motivated IT team, taking ownership of critical data infrastructure, and proactively contributing ideas and expertise.

What You'll Bring

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field, combined with at least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehouse development, database design, API development, and DevOps.
• Strong SQL expertise and hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes, ideally including Azure DevOps or comparable platforms.
• Intermediate level of AI affinity, a solid understanding of AI data infrastructure, and ideally experience with LLM integrations.
• Conceptual thinking with flexibility and enthusiasm for new challenges.
• Thriving in a team environment, confident communication in an international setting, business fluency in English, and German language skills are a plus.
