ISCC - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification in Cologne seeks a Data Analyst to turn certification data into insights and support data-driven decisions. You’ll analyze, clean and interpret data with subject matter experts and data engineers, driving data quality and usability.

You will collaborate across teams to define requirements, develop analytical solutions, and contribute to continuous data process improvements while promoting sustainability and digitalisation initiatives

Qualifikationen

• University degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, business, economics, sustainability, environmental science, or another relevant field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable data-related role.
• Experience with relational databases and extracting data using SQL.
• Proficiency in cleaning and analysing data in Excel.
• Excellent data analysis, data cleaning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating or contributing to data quality and data analysis projects.
• Excellent English skills (C1 level) and very good German (B2 level).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data topics into practical solutions.
• Interest in data-driven process improvements, digitalisation and technology.

• Provide first-level support for data-related questions and assist colleagues in data interpretation.
• Contribute to data-driven approaches and digitalisation within ISCC.
• Communicate analytical results and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

To strengthen our IT & Technology team, we are looking forward to welcoming you as a Data Analyst at our headquarters inCologne.
In this role, you will play an important part in turning certification-related data into meaningful insights and supporting data-driven decision-making across ISCC. You will analyse, clean and interpret data in close collaboration with subject matter experts and data engineers, while also contributing to initiatives that improve the quality, consistency and usability of our data.

Your main duties will be:

• Extracting, cleaning, transforming and analysing certification-related data to support colleagues in data-driven decision-making
• Identifying trends, patterns, inconsistencies and data quality issues and translating findings into actionable insights
• Facilitating and participating in data quality initiatives in close coordination with subject matter experts and data engineers
• Supporting data-related projects from requirements gathering and analysis through to implementation and evaluation
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business and data requirements and develop appropriate analytical solutions
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of data processes, structures and workflows
• Supporting the development and implementation of measures to improve data accuracy, consistency and completeness
• Providing first-level support for data-related questions and assisting colleagues in the use and interpretation of data
• Contributing to the further development of data-driven approaches and digitalisation within ISCC
• Communicating analytical results and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Your profile

• University degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, business, economics, sustainability, environmental science, or another relevant field
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable data-related role
• Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and extracting data using SQL
• Proficiency in cleaning and analysing data in Excel
• Excellent data analysis, data cleaning and problem-solving skills
• Experience coordinating or contributing to data quality and data analysis projects
• Excellent English skills (at least C1‑level, written and spoken) and very good German (at least B2 level) skills
• Strong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data-related topics into practical solutions
• Good understanding of sustainable supply chains and an interest in sustainability-related topics
• Experience with one or more scripting languages and with FileMaker is an advantage
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a structured, solution‑oriented approach
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues from different teams and areas of expertise
• Interest in data-driven process improvements, digitalisation and technology
