Qualifikationen

• Erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung im Bereich der Spedition oder vergleichbare Qualifikation.
• Mehrere Jahre Berufserfahrung in Zollabwicklung (Import/Export/ATLAS).
• Vertrautheit mit MS Office, insbesondere mit Excel.

Aufgaben

• Bearbeitung von Importen und Exporten gemäß den aktuellen Zoll- und Außenhandelsgesetzen.
• Erstellung von Dokumenten und Rechnungen, Übernahme der Sendungseingabe.
• Kommunikation mit Zollbehörden, Speditionen und Kunden.

We operate a container terminal on the Middle Rhine and maintain regular train and ship connections between the ARA seaports, the Rhine-Main area and the Moselle-Saar region. With a large, modern fleet of trucks, we handle pre-carriage and onward carriage and can react at short notice to increasing capacity requirements on our main routes. As an IATA-certified operator, our air freight department handles particularly urgent orders. Our automotive logistics division is a long-standing, reliable partner for many large automobile manufacturers and leasing fleet operators.

To strengthen our team at the Mainz-Mombach branch in the area of forwarding/import/export, we are looking for a Customs Clerk (m/f/d) Import/Export at the earliest possible date.

Your challenge

Your tasks include the handling of imports and exports in compliance with current customs and foreign trade laws. You will create documents and invoices, take over the shipment entry and communicate with customs authorities, forwarding agents, customers and the main customs office. In addition, you will obtain information and permits and process inquiries from the main customs office. Further tasks include freight calculation, preparation of quotations and shipment tracking.

Your qualities

You have successfully completed training in the field of forwarding or a comparable qualification and have several years of professional experience in customs (import/export/ATLAS). You are confident in the use of common MS Office programs, especially Excel. In addition, you have very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. You show commitment and sense of responsibility, coupled with flexibility and organizational skills.
