About you
- You have at least 3-5 years of experience in culinary product development, ideally in the QSR and/or virtual kitchen sector.
- You have a culinary training, ideally as a chef/cook or have comparable experience in the recipe development.
- You have experience in developing and implementing SOPs in professional kitchens or production environments.
- You understand how to develop recipes for scaling and standardization – from prototype to production.
- You have a strong understanding of food costing, portion sizes, and margin calculation.
- You are creative, yet pragmatic, and understand the operational reality of production and delivery.
- You have experience with packaging optimization and understand the requirements of food delivery.
- You have strong communication skills and can work with both chefs and operations and business teams.
- You speak fluent German and English.
- You have a passion for great food and are passionate about developing products that customers love.
About the role
As a Culinary Developer, you are responsible for the development and continuous optimization of our products across our main brand “Loco Chicken” & our brand extensions “Moco Chicken” and “Koco Chicken”. You develop new recipes, standardize our kitchen processes, and ensure that our products not only taste great but are also scalable and profitable. You report directly to our Operations Lead.

What you will do:
- You develop new recipes and products for our chicken brands (Loco Chicken, Koco Chicken, Moco Chicken, and future brands) – from initial concept to finished product.
- You continuously optimize existing recipes in terms of taste, quality, cost, and scalability.
- You develop and implement Kitchen SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all our production locations.
- You work closely with the Procurement Team to source the best ingredients and optimize costs.
- You optimize products and packaging for maximum quality, shelf-life, and customer experience for delivery and in-store.
- You test new ingredients, preparation methods, and kitchen equipment to improve our product quality and efficiency.
- You work closely together with our training team to ensure the correct implementation of recipes and SOPs in our own stores as well as delivery stores.
- You work closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations to successfully execute new product launches.
- You monitor food trends and competitors to keep LANCH one step ahead.
