Job summary

Mercury GmbH is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead civil works on major projects in Germany. You will manage day-to-day on-site operations, safety, QA, scheduling and coordination with subcontractors to deliver on time and to budget.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in site management, strong technical knowledge of CSA systems, and a track record of delivering complex installations under strict deadlines. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years in site management and installation.
• Experience supervising and installing complex systems.
• Professional certification relevant to CSA or construction.
• Strong planning, scheduling and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee civil scope installation to meet project standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Overseeing the installation of the Civils scope of works ensuring all aspects are completed in line with expectations.
• Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Mercury Project Operations Manager & EHS Lead. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
• Management of Site QA in conjunction with the CSA Package Manager including set up, management and close out of file.
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
• Management of all day to day on site operations for the CSA packages.
• Assist with the management of all costs associated with your package including:
  - Mercury CSA Team
  - Sub-contractors
  - Material deliveries and goods receipting.
  - Plant and Equipment
  - Variations
• Familiarity with and management of Project Schedule in conjunction with other trades and Package Leads.
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure Attend and contribute to a weekly minute’s meeting with sub-contractor.
• Management of the Mercury "In Progress" snagging system ensuring that you return weekly punch lists where applicable.
• Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for tracking centrally.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings where required.
• Close out of all project items including O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File – all with the support of the CSA package manager
• Implement a weekly look ahead ensuring co-ordination with other trades.
• Issue internal weekly progress report, Supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Mercury or Sub-contractors, e.g.: late deliveries.
• Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track deliveries.
• Maintain a weekly project photographic diary.
• Any other duties associated with the role.
