Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking a Crisis Intervention Counselor to provide high-quality crisis support to individuals contacting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, online chat, and SMS. You will respond with empathy and professionalism, conduct risk assessments, and create safety plans.

Work with on-shift clinicians when elevated risk is identified, refer to community resources, document interactions accurately, and maintain confidentiality in line with organizational protocols.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of full-time behavioral health experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across multiple software platforms.
• Comfort working independently during evening or overnight hours.
• AAC credential required by end of probation; applications due within 30 days of hire.

• Respond to 988 calls, or chats and texts, with empathy and professionalism
• Conduct suicide and behavioral health risk assessments
• De‑escalate high-intensity situations using evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with on‑shift clinicians when elevated risk is identified
• Create safety and action plans with callers
• Provide referrals and connections to community resources
• Complete accurate and timely documentation
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all program and organizational protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED plus four (4) years of full-time behavioral health experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask across multiple software platforms
• Comfort working independently during evening or overnight hours
• Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential required by the end of the probationary period. Applications must be submitted within 30 days of hire.
