About the Role

We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Creative Producer / Video Editor to take end-to-end ownership of podcast and video production. You will lead the creative process from guest research and recording preparation through multi-camera editing, short-form content creation, written assets, publishing, and performance reporting.

As the lead producer, primary video editor, and final quality gatekeeper, you will be responsible for delivering polished, engaging content across YouTube, podcast platforms, social media, and the client website. The ideal candidate combines strong editing expertise with excellent editorial judgement, audience awareness, creative ownership, and the ability to manage production independently.

Ideal Profile

Production & Editing Experience

• Demonstrated experience producing and personally editing professional long‑form video or podcast content
• Strong multi‑camera editing skills, including pacing, story structure, audio post‑production, colour correction or grading, graphics, and sponsor integration
• Portfolio demonstrating polished YouTube episodes, vertical social content, and strong visual storytelling
• Ability to take an episode from raw recording through final publication with minimal supervision

Writing & Audience Skills

• Experience creating audience‑facing copy, YouTube metadata, and search‑optimised content
• Strong editorial judgement and awareness of audience interests and retention
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to understand and edit nuanced conversations
• Understanding of audience‑retention editing, thumbnail testing, and social content performance

Tools & Platforms

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or an equivalent professional editing platform
• Professional audio editing and mastering capabilities
• Experience with YouTube and Instagram publishing, optimisation, and analytics
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Canva, or equivalent tools for thumbnails and social graphics
• Reliable cloud‑based file management, review, and project management workflows

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Podbean, Spotify for Creators, Apple Podcasts, LinkedIn, and TikTok
• Working knowledge of SEO, keyword research, content management systems, and email newsletters
• Experience supporting remote recording setups, multitrack audio, and podcast production troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Pre-Production & Guest Research

• Research upcoming guests using previous interviews, published work, and relevant industry activity
• Develop distinctive question angles and debate topics aligned with the target audience
• Gather community questions through social media engagement ahead of recordings
• Prepare detailed guest dossiers for hosts before recording
• Support technical preparation, including framing, microphone checks, and multitrack audio synchronisation

Long-Form Video Production

• Personally edit full multi‑camera podcast episodes
• Refine narrative flow, pacing, audio, colour, graphics, and sponsor integrations
• Create compelling opening hooks designed to support YouTube audience retention
• Design custom YouTube thumbnails using established visual frameworks
• Complete final quality assurance and approve video and audio masters before publication

  Short-Form Content

  • Review full episodes to identify commercially valuable hooks, insights, and debate moments
  • Edit repeatable vertical clips for social platforms
  • Produce a bespoke Authority Reel for each episode using custom typography, sound design, and visual overlays
  • Create short‑form content optimised for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

  SEO, Content & Promotional Writing

  • Write search‑optimised YouTube titles and descriptions
  • Create timestamped chapters and relevant platform metadata
  • Develop promotional social media posts and newsletter copy
  • Produce a 500–800-word search‑optimised website article for each episode

  Distribution & Community Management

  • Schedule and publish long‑form content across Podbean, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts
  • Coordinate short‑form content releases across Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Monitor audience comments and social interactions
  • Contribute to initiatives designed to strengthen community engagement

  Reporting & Client Communication

  • Produce monthly performance reports covering retention, click‑through rates, reel views, and channel growth
  • Keep clients informed throughout the production process
  • Confirm completion of production deliverables and manage related administration
  • Ensure all published assets meet quality, branding, metadata, audio, visual, and scheduling standards
