Siemens Energy seeks a skilled professional to join our Gas Services division in Germany, focusing on instrumentation and control for steam turbine projects.

You will translate process requirements into reliable control system designs, coordinate interfaces with turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems, and support project execution from engineering through commissioning, while contributing to standardized I&C concepts for future fossil and nuclear applications.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• Long-term professional experience in control system engineering, automation, instrumentation and control, or commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of modern distributed control systems (DCS), control system hardware, electrical systems, and industrial automation technologies.
• Experience with SPPA-T3000, Siemens PCS 7, or comparable process control system platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in international environments with fluent German and English.

• Development and implementation of instrumentation and control (I&C) solutions for steam turbine projects in new apparatus business
• Clarification of process requirements and technical interfaces with steam turbine, generator, and auxiliary systems to ensure seamless system integration
• Engineering, coordination, and delivery of project-specific control system hardware and software solutions with focus on quality, schedule, and cost targets
• Technical representation of the steam turbine I&C scope within global project teams and during customer discussions
• Support of installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and site activities to ensure reliable plant operation
• Continuous advancement of standardized steam turbine control concepts, including instrumentation, hardware architecture, and software design for fossil and nuclear applications

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Long-term professional experience in control system engineering, automation, instrumentation and control, or commissioning within the energy, process, or industrial sector
• Strong knowledge of modern distributed control systems (DCS), control system hardware, electrical systems, and industrial automation technologies
• Experience with SPPA-T3000, Siemens PCS 7, or comparable process control system platforms
• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with a high level of ownership and commitment to delivering results
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in international and interdisciplinary environments, combined with fluent German and English language skills
