Jobbeschreibung

The role is based in Nuremberg. If you relocate for the role and your home address is at least 80 km from the site, we will support you with a relocation package.

Our goal is to build a world‑class last‑mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager / Process Excellence Manager / Process Improvement Manager or comparable as an ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence Systems) Manager. Be part of a fast‑growing, diverse and inclusive team!

As an ACES Manager, you will drive process standardization on site and be the link between station management and the ACES team. You will contribute to the optimization of delivery station operations, providing the station with sufficient knowledge and appropriate tools to improve performance, and create effective communication plans to enable overall process alignment.

This role will be based in our delivery station in Nuremberg. You are willing to work in non‑traditional shift patterns which include nights; the current shift plan is day shift (approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) and occasionally working night/late shift. In addition, you must be able to travel up to 30% of the time.

We offer:
  • A permanent contract directly with Amazon
  • An attractive compensation package including Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) from Amazon.com, Inc.
  • Relocation package: If at least 80 km from the site
  • Free life and disability insurance and support with a company pension plan
  • Employee discounts on amazon.de and Amazon Extras (discounts on travel, restaurants, entertainment, electronics, home etc.)
  • Commuter benefits: Free parking or coverage of the "Deutschlandticket"
  • Family bonus (one‑time payment for parents on parental leave)
  • Referral services for childcare, senior care, and care for people with special needs
  • A free Employee Assistance Program (also for family members) providing consultation for professional or personal matters
  • Excellent career development opportunities within a global company: The content of this role is dynamic, having a changing focus based on the needs and priorities. This will allow the successful candidate to work with multiple teams, build an European network and discover multiple career opportunities (within and outside the ACES team).
Key job responsibilities
  • Contribute to audit initiatives and support results‑driven action planning.
  • Contribute to deployment of Process Standard implementations and upgrades within the delivery station partnering with station management and several stakeholders.
  • Support development and continuous piloting of process improvements and ongoing benchmarking initiatives.
  • Ensure station management is understanding benchmark rates and is trained in technical configurations to drive accurate reporting and productivity boosts.
  • During peak time, you will have the responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of a Delivery Station, providing leadership to Operations Supervisors, Operations Assistants and Delivery Service Providers, managing external agency relationships and performance.
Qualifications
  • A University degree (or equivalent) in business, engineering, supply chain, transportation, mathematics, economics, physics or another technical field.
  • Relevant experience working in supply chain, transportation, project management or management consulting.
  • Relevant experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in both German and English.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Experience in analytical tool building.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or QuickSight.
  • PMP or equivalent Project management certifications.
  • Lean Management & Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
