Job summary

Wingcopter, a fast-growing aerospace tech company, seeks an experienced Configuration Manager to own and advance configuration management across development, production, and service. You will oversee baselines, BOMs, CAD data, and software releases within PLM/PDM/ERP systems and drive change control processes.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Certification, and Service to ensure traceability and compliance with AS9100 and EASA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• CM2 certification or similar aerospace configuration cert.
• Experience with PLM/PDM/ERP systems in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and organizational skills.
• Experience with AI in configuration management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve Configuration & Change Management processes across development, production, and service.
• Manage product baselines, BOMs, CAD data, software releases, and documentation within PLM/PDM/ERP systems.
• Coordinate ECR/ECO, CCB, and implementation activities.
• Ensure complete configuration traceability, version control, and accurate reporting.
• Support configuration audits and compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, EASA).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Certification, and Service teams to implement changes.
• Drive AI-enabled Configuration Management with intelligent tools for impact analysis and data quality.
• Define processes, provide training, and promote best practices across the organization.
• Administer the PLM platform including user, license, access, supplier, and community management.

Your profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as Configuration Manager and with PLM/PDM and ERP systems in a fast paced, complex systems' environment.
• Strong knowledge of BOM and document management.
• Training/certification as Configuration Manager, e.g. CM2, familiarity with aerospace configuration standards.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with AI, ideally in setting-up AI agents to optimize the work environment.
