Job summary

Mercor seeks a Condensed Matter Physicist (PhD) for a remote contract lasting 8 to 10 weeks at ~10 hours per week. You will tackle research-level physics problems, develop and verify solutions, and audit work alongside a distributed team.

Applicants must hold a PhD in condensed matter physics, have verifiable publications (arXiv/DOIs) and be proficient with LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter. English level should be B2 or higher.
