Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Commissioning Manager (m/f/d) to join our Data Centre team in Düsseldorf, Germany. You will oversee commissioning activities as equipment and systems are installed and tested, ensuring regulatory compliance and budget adherence.

You will lead meetings, manage documentation, and liaise with vendors and clients to deliver critical infrastructure projects on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years experience in industrial equipment and systems commissioning; preferably within data centres, mission-critical, industrial, or large-scale construction projects.
• Experience managing commissioning activities throughout design, construction, commissioning, and project closeout phases.
• Ability to review technical documentation, commissioning plans, method statements, test procedures, and as-built documentation.
• Proficiency in mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, Excel, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook), control systems, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with control systems for critical infrastructures.
• Strong analytical, structural, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Availability for on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Planning and management of Vendor FAT/ FWT with possible attendance if necessary.
• Management of CFCI and OFCI vendors Commissioning Scope
• Lead Daily/ Weekly commissioning meetings, Internally, vendor and Client
• Manage, deliver and obtain approval on relevant project commissioning documents such as Test Scripts, Compliance statements etc.
• Manage the receipt, review and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve the necessary sign off
• Single POC for commissioning management and reporting of the planning and execution of scopes and deliverables
• Supervise the installation of new equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Inspect and verify the correct functioning of electrical, mechanical, and environmental control systems
• Testing and Verification: Conduct tests to ensure operational efficacy
• Verify the integrity and performance of critical systems.
• Approve the finalization of the project based on successful testing
• Participate in safety reviews.
