Zusammenfassung

ibc group seeks an experienced COBOL Software Developer (m/f/d) to strengthen the team and help maintain and enhance our mainframe-based COBOL applications. You will work across the full lifecycle from analysis to development and optimization in a business-critical environment.

Requirements include several years of COBOL development on IBM z/OS, strong DB2/VSAM/SQL knowledge, JCL/TSO experience, and excellent German (C1) plus English (B2).

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree in computer science or equivalent IT qualification.
• Several years of COBOL development experience, preferably on mainframes (IBM z/OS).
• Strong knowledge of DB2/VSAM/SQL databases.
• Experience with batch and online processing, JCL/TSO.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured work approach.
• Excellent German skills (C1) and good English (B2).

You bring:

• a completed degree in computer science, training as an IT specialist or a comparable qualification
• several years of experience in COBOL development, ideally in mainframe environments such as IBM z/OS
• solid knowledge of database technologies such as DB2, VSAM or SQL
• experience with batch and online processing programs as well as tools such as JCL and TSO
• strong analytical thinking, a structured way of working and enjoyment in solving complex tasks
• very good German skills in speaking and writing at C1 level and good English skills at B2 level
