Job summary

ANDRITZ Küsters in Krefeld is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (m/f/x) for turning and grinding of long, high-precision components. You will set up and program CNC machines, handle large rolls, and ensure quality aligned with technical specifications.

Applicants should have a CNC Machinist certification or equivalent, with emphasis on drawing interpretation, problem solving, and teamwork. Shift work Monday to Friday is expected.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as a CNC Machinist (m/f/x) or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience machining large-scale components (>3000 mm length and 600 mm diameter).
• Roll grinding experience is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program CNC turning and grinding machines.
• Machine long workpieces, especially industrial rolls.
• Inspect and quality-check components according to specs.
• Identify and resolve machine issues and malfunctions.
• Complete production documentation and participate in shopfloor activities.
• Contribute to process improvements for quality, productivity and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance of CNC equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program CNC turning and/or grinding machines.
• Perform turning and grinding operations on long workpieces, particularly industrial rolls.
• Machine high-quality precision components according to technical specifications.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and machine malfunctions.
• Carry out quality assurance measures before, during, and after turning and grinding operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of CNC turning and grinding equipment.
• Complete all required production and process documentation.
• Participate in regular shopfloor management activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, productivity, and workplace safety.
• Inspect and verify workpieces using appropriate measuring and testing equipment.

You have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

• Completed vocational training as a CNC Machinist (m/f/x) or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Relevant professional experience in roll grinding is an advantage.
• Experience machininglarge-scale components (more than 3,000 mm in length and 600 mm in diameter).
• Strong commitment to quality and a high level of technical understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings with confidence.
