Job summary

Liebherr-Digital Development Center GmbH in Ulm is seeking a motivated software developer with a strong interest in cloud engineering. You will join the Cloud Applications team to design distributed architectures, develop cloud services, and contribute to automation and infrastructure as code in an agile, interdisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science and at least 3 years' experience in software development.
• Proficient use of AI tools for workflow automation, problem-solving, and software development.
• At least 2 years' experience in cloud mechanisms and tooling (Container, Kubernetes, Grafana Cloud) and with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Proficiency in cloud networking and in working with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Proficiency in cloud-native frameworks like Terraform custom providers.
• Experience in software development with Java, C#, or Go and experience with CI/CD.
• Familiarity with storage technologies and distributed software development.
• Strong German and English communication, and agile collaboration skills.

To support our digitalization team in Ulm, we are hiring a motivated software developer with great interest in cloud engineering. In the Cloud Applications team, we are working on architectures of distributed systems, software development of services, browser user interfaces, data streaming, infrastructure as code, APIs, data storing - using public cloud providers. We are working in interdisciplinary product teams together with our data science, IoT edge and native mobile app colleagues in modern agile frameworks. To help solve the technical challenges our products pose, we are looking for you with the expertise of corresponding state-of-the-advanced techniques.

Your qualifications

• Confident use of agentic AI tools for workflow automation, problem-solving, and software development
• At least 2 years' experience in cloud mechanisms and tooling (Container, Kubernetes, Grafana Cloud etc.) and with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Proficiency in cloud and network technology and in working with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficiency in developing cloud native frameworks like Terraform custom providers
• Experience in software development with common programming languages like Java, C# or Golang & experience with continuous integration
• Familiarity with storage technologies and in development of distributed software
• Good spoken and written communication skills in German & excellent in English, and a high degree of motivation & ability to collaborate in agile teams
