Zusammenfassung

Trimble Inc. in Munich, Germany, seeks a Cloud Operations Engineer to join Trimble Advanced Positioning. You will help run highly available GPS correction services cloud-wide, collaborating with development teams to support product lifecycles.

You will design and implement scalable workloads, automate infrastructure, enforce security and compliance, and mentor operations teams while migrating on-prem systems to the cloud and enabling CI/CD deployments.

Qualifikationen

  • Proven experience supporting operations in AWS and Azure Cloud Services.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized operations.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and configuration management like Ansible.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking and security frameworks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills with the team.

What You Will Do

You will join a growing team that maintains high availability GPS correction services using a range of cloud and automation technologies. The team works with development teams to support the delivery of a range of products throughout the technology lifecycle.

  • Assess new provider capabilities and enable them on our platform as required
  • Design and implement solutions for a range of workloads, leveraging automation and infrastructure as code principles
  • Manage compliance by enforcing practices such as tagging, regular backups, and patching
  • Work with vendors to solve complex technical issues and rapidly resolve incidents
  • Consult and advise on well-architected principles and best practices based on real-world experience
  • Guide the migration of legacy on-premise systems to the cloud
  • Encourage the use of new technologies in the cloud, and share your knowledge with other members of the IT team, and provide training to the operations teams
  • Design and maintain IAM and security best practices in AWS and Azure
  • Automate, optimize and drive efficiency with a continuous improvement mindset and deploy applications that help streamline IT and business functions
  • Create and maintain source code repository and gated CI/CD pipelines to build, package, and deploy applications.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
  • Proven experience supporting operations in AWS and Azure Cloud Services
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized operations
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Terraform
  • Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible
  • Skills in cloud networking and security frameworks
  • Willingness to learn and further develop your own skills along with those around you
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Effective verbal communication in English
