Zusammenfassung

Advantest Europe GmbH is seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Architect in Germany to design and govern enterprise cloud architectures. The role will drive landing zones, security baselines, cost optimization, and collaboration with application teams across global projects.

Responsibilities include designing scalable, highly available AWS platforms, enforcing governance, and enabling cloud modernization with strong documentation and cross-functional alignment.

Aufgaben

• Design and maintain enterprise AWS infrastructure architectures, including accounts, networking, compute, storage, and database foundations.
• Define and evolve AWS Landing Zones, reference architectures, and infrastructure patterns.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance across workloads.
• Review and approve infrastructure designs for new and existing AWS workloads.
• Define and enforce AWS infrastructure standards and guardrails, including IAM, network baselines, and account isolation.
• Embed security by design with logging, monitoring, audit controls, and security tooling; support ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance.
• Implement FinOps practices: tagging, cost allocation, Savings Plans, and usage optimization.
• Collaborate with Application Architects, DevOps, Cloud Security, and external partners; maintain architecture docs and decision records.

1. AWS Infrastructure Architecture & Design

• Design and maintain enterprise AWS infrastructure architectures, including:
  • Account and environment structures
  • Networking (VPC, connectivity, segmentation)
  • Compute, storage, and database foundations
• Define and evolve AWS Landing Zones, reference architectures, and infrastructure patterns.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and performance across workloads.
• Review and approve infrastructure designs for new and existing AWS workloads.

2. Cloud Governance & Platform Standards

• Define and enforce AWS infrastructure standards and guardrails, including:
  • Account strategy and isolation
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Network security baselines
• Contribute to global cloud governance frameworks and Cloud Policy implementation.
• Ensure consistency across AWS environments while enabling team autonomy where appropriate.

3. Security, Risk & Compliance (Infrastructure Focus)

• Embed security by design into all AWS infrastructure architectures.
• Ensure implementation of:
  • Logging, monitoring, and audit controls
  • Security tooling and baseline configurations
• Support compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal IT security policies.
• Act as an escalation point for infrastructure related security risks and incidents.

4. Cost Optimization & Infrastructure Efficiency

• Design AWS infrastructure with cost transparency and optimization in mind.
• Support FinOps practices including tagging, cost allocation, and usage optimization.
• Advise on infrastructure level cost mechanisms such as Savings Plans and architectural trade offs.
• Partner with Cloud Financial Management to continuously improve infrastructure efficiency.

5. Enablement, Advisory & Collaboration

• Act as AWS infrastructure advisor for application, DevOps, and operations teams.
• Support cloud adoption and modernization initiatives with infrastructure expertise.
• Collaborate closely with:
  • Application Architects
  • Cloud Security
  • Cloud Operations
  • External partners and system integrators
• Maintain high quality architecture documentation and decision records.
