The Cloud Platform Architect (m/w/d) is a pivotal role within netgo's cloud team, responsible for the strategic development and technical leadership of the company's multi-tenant cloud platforms based on OpenStack and VMware technologies. This position involves designing, evolving, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions that support the company's managed services and client requirements. As the highest technical authority in the cloud engineering team, the Cloud Platform Architect will shape the future architecture, introduce innovative cloud services, and ensure the platform's robustness and compliance with industry standards. The role offers the flexibility of 100% remote work within Germany, allowing for a balanced integration of professional and personal commitments.
The ideal candidate holds a completed degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, complemented by extensive experience in designing and operating complex cloud and data center infrastructures. A minimum of three years of experience specifically in designing multi-tenant platforms is required. Expertise in OpenStack and VMware, including vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vCloud Director, is essential. Candidates should possess deep knowledge of data center network architecture, enterprise storage solutions, and security concepts. Hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and APIs, along with strong communication skills to articulate complex architectures, are vital. Fluency in German and English is mandatory, and relevant certifications in cloud technologies will be considered advantageous.
