Job Title: Clinical Territory Manager

Job Description

The Clinical Territory Manager drives growth within an assigned territory by combining clinical expertise with strategic sales execution. This role manages the direct-to-consumer sales process, develops strong referral networks, and delivers clinical education to healthcare professionals and community groups. The position focuses on building successful clinical programs in neurological and orthopedic care settings, achieving key performance metrics, and executing comprehensive business plans across South Texas.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute quarterly and annual key performance metrics for the assigned territory.
• Manage the direct-to-consumer sales process, including lead engagement, lead nurturing, and the full product acquisition process.
• Develop and maintain referral networks by building strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, and other key decision makers.
• Provide clinical education and support to customers to ensure appropriate product use and optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct in-services and group presentations using company-developed materials for physicians, clinicians, and community support groups.
• Develop and execute annual business plans for the assigned geography, aligning territory strategy with broader organizational goals.
• Review quarterly key performance metrics with leadership and translate them into clear execution goals for the territory.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers to develop and implement successful clinical programs at healthcare facilities within the territory.
• Attend national and regional trade shows, customer-facing events, and internal meetings as requested to promote products and strengthen relationships.
• Build and maintain effective, lasting relationships with therapists and other clinical stakeholders treating neurological and orthopedic patients.
• Hold oneself and others accountable for conducting business in full compliance with the Code of Compliance and Ethics, as well as all applicable policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Adapt quickly to changing market conditions and organizational priorities while maintaining a strong focus on results and territory performance.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or an associate-level degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales, sales support, or marketing with a demonstrated history of success.
• Experience calling on and/or working with physicians treating neurological and/or orthopedic patients.
• Clinical background in physical therapy, occupational therapy, neurology, or orthopedics.
• Proven ability to manage a direct-to-consumer sales process, including lead engagement, nurturing, and conversion.
• Results-focused mindset with a strong drive to meet and exceed performance metrics and territory goals.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed territory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective, long-term relationships with physicians, therapists, and other key decision makers.
• Strong verbal communication skills for delivering presentations, in-services, and clinical education.
• Strong written communication skills for professional correspondence, reporting, and documentation.
• Ability to effectively communicate and problem-solve in a fast-changing environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new information, market changes, and evolving customer needs while maintaining high performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Sales background combined with a degree in physical or occupational therapy is highly preferred.
• Graduate degree in Business, Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy is preferred.
• Experience developing and executing annual business or territory plans.
• Experience conducting group presentations, in-services, or educational sessions for clinical and community audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners, including sales leadership and clinical teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance travel, customer meetings, and administrative responsibilities.
• Comfort presenting at national and regional trade shows and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.

Work Environment

This role covers a sales territory in South Texas and is best suited for someone based in or near San Antonio or Houston. The position involves regular travel within the territory to visit physicians, therapists, healthcare facilities, and community organizations. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring flexibility to respond to changing customer needs and market conditions. The Clinical Territory Manager frequently delivers in-person presentations, in-services, and educational sessions, and may attend national and regional trade shows as requested. The work combines field-based activities with remote planning, reporting, and communication, using standard business technologies and tools to manage leads, track performance metrics, and execute territory business plans.
