Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida is seeking a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to assess, plan, and implement nutrition therapy for inpatients and outpatients.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, contribute to education efforts, and participate in clinical ladder activities. The role requires a bachelor's degree in nutrition, licensure eligibility, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition.
• Current Registration with CDR or RD eligible with successful registration within 6 months of hire date.
• Temporary Florida licensure required if not currently licensed in the State of Florida
• BLS Certification
• One year of clinical experience preferred. Clinical experience in an acute care hospital during Dietitian externship will be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and reassessment of assigned patients in accordance to established standards of care and practice including selecting assessment tools, tests and measures, goal setting, etc.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team planning and coordination of care.
• Participate in education in-services, presentations, etc., as needed.
• Accurately performs documentation on each evaluation and treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges.

Summary

Assess, plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the standards of nutrition therapy. Provides care for inpatient and/ or outpatient caseload. Occasional weekend and/ or holiday coverage if staffing needs warrant. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary treatment team regarding the needs of the patient. Opportunities to contribute to presentations, publications, supervision of students/ interns, and execution of departmental education efforts which will contribute to advancement in the Clinical Ladder.

Salary Range

$63,377.60 - $96,699.20

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
