Navy, Army & Airforce Institute (NAAFI) is recruiting a Cleaning Assistant in Germany. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across facilities, supporting colleagues, and delivering a high standard of customer service within the NAAFI environment.

You will work with our team in Germany, with opportunities to support operations at other locations worldwide. DBS clearance is essential, and a UK driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• 1+ years demonstrable cleaning or housekeeping experience (Desirable).
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate with people effectively.
• Good customer service experience.
• DBS certificate (essential).
• Valid Manual UK Driving Licence (Desirable).

Responsabilités

• Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and safety of premises and completing cleaning rotas.
• Interacting with NAAFI customers and military/public in a courteous manner.
• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, appearance and conduct.
• Following health and safety regulations including COSHH and risk assessments.
• Carrying out cleaning tasks: dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, beds, pots, pans and catering equipment; restroom cleaning.

Cleaning Assistant – Global

Salary: £26,181.48 /annum

Location: Global Mobile

Hours: Full Time - 39 Hours/week

Please note this role will initially be based in Germany, and you may be required to work across any one of our operational locations worldwide

NAAFI are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Assistant in Germany. This is an exciting opportunity for you to come to live and work in Paderborn, Germany alongside our UK Armed Forces. This opportunity will allow you to increase your knowledge and skills as well as test your abilities whilst working in our unique environment in Germany.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who can build and sustain relationships with our customer. You will be self-reliant and able to use your own drive and initiative to resolve problems.

You will be passionate about cleanliness and as such you will be responsible for taking care of our facilities, carrying out various cleaning and maintenance duties. Your main goal will be to keep our building/s in a clean and orderly condition and assist your NAAFI colleagues to continuously deliver and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service through all aspects of our business. You will always protect and promote NAAFI and ensure our customers and colleagues have an enjoyable NAAFI experience. Demonstrating integrity and respect is in integral part of your daily duties.

Responsibilities of the role of Cleaning Assistant with NAAFI:

• The proactive maintenance of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety of our premises and ensuring the requirements of all cleaning rotas and schedules are completed
• Dealing with NAAFI customers and any member of the military or public encountered during the completion of your duties in a proactive, courteous, friendly and helpful manner
• Maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene, including personal hygiene, appearance and conduct
• Following all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, safe systems of work and COSHH assessments and safety data sheets
• Ensuring all standards of Health & Safety, and Food Safety legislation are achieved during the course of carrying out cleaning duties. Your safety and that of all others that may be affected by your actions is paramount
• Safely performing various cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, making beds, cleaning pots, pans, dishes and catering equipment as well as restroom cleaning across all of NAAFI ‘s operations (this list is not exhaustive)
• Notifying your line manager immediately in case there is a need for repair and taking the appropriate H&S measures if any
• Cooperating with line managers and staff in all locations
• Checking and arranging replenishment of the necessary cleaning materials and ensuring all legislation and requirements of the manufacturer’s instructions are met including use of the correct PPE and appropriate storage
• You will also be required undertake any reasonable request within the scope and grade of the role and to carry out other duties as reasonably requested by NAAFI for the needs of the business to enable delivery of service, including taking part in activities in the wider operational part of the business as and when required
