Döhle Assekuranzkontor GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg is seeking a Claims Executive (m/f/d) to strengthen our specialist team in marine insurance claims handling.

You will process Hull and Machinery and Loss of Hire claims and coordinate with customers, adjusters and surveyors to push cases to settlements. The role requires an apprenticeship or degree in marine insurance or shipping, plus at least five years of relevant experience and fluent business English.

Qualifikationen

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in marine insurance or shipping.
• At least 5 years' experience in Hull & Machinery claims.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Team-oriented with collaborative mindset.
• Fluent written and spoken business English.

Your mission

The Döhle Assekuranzkontor GmbH & Co. KG (webpage) was founded in 1996 as an insurance broker for the Peter Döhle Group. As part of an international shipping company, we preserve traditions and are future-orientated at the same time. Our international clients value our expertise, our customised solutions and our proactive approach. We are a team of 35 insurance and shipping specialists who support our clients with excellent claims handling, administration and consultancy services. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Claims Executive(m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Processing of Hull and Machinery as well as Loss of Hire Claims
• Liaising with customers, average adjusters and surveyors
• Defence and settlement of recoveries
• Nomination and supervision of salvage contracts
• Issuance and maintenance of damage statistics

Your profile

• A successful completed apprenticeship or a degree in the field of (marine) insurance and/or shipping
• At least 5 years experience as Hull & Machinery Claims handler or in a similar position
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Enjoy working in a team
• Fluent written and spoken business English
