U.S. Air Forces, Europe in Kaiserslautern area seeks a clerical support staff to assist the Child Development Program with customer service, entry monitoring, and facility compliance. The role includes data automation, filing, and routine office tasks to ensure smooth program operations.
The position requires knowledge of office procedures, proficient typing, and the ability to operate common office equipment. Prior experience in a youth programs setting is a plus.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical and clerical support for the smooth operation of the Child Development Program to include, customer service, monitoring customer entry, maintaining facility requirements in Fire, Health, and cleanliness, data automation for maintaining files, and more.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position, only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
