Location: Hamburg. FREENOW is looking for a Chief of Staff to the CEO to be a critical partner in driving business success and organisational excellence.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted sounding board and strategic advisor to the CEO - offering counsel, generating ideas, and ensuring their time is spent on the highest-impact priorities.
  • Drive Strategic Alignment: Translate the CEO’s vision into actionable, cross-functional plans that align with business goals.
  • Program & Initiative Management: Drive a select portfolio of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives directly tied to the CEO’s agenda. Ensure strategic alignment, executive-level coordination, and sustained momentum, stepping in as needed to navigate complexity and remove barriers to execution.
  • Executive Communication: Create board-level materials, CEO messaging, and internal updates that support strong decision-making and company alignment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the connective tissue between the CEO and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency and consistency across leadership.
  • Decision Enablement: Analyse business data, identify key risks and opportunities, and support timely, informed executive decisions.
  • Communication Impact:
    • Act as a trusted voice for internal messaging from the CEO
    • Manage confidential, high-stakes communications with clarity and diplomacy. Align stakeholders across departments and seniority levels around complex and sensitive topics.
  • Innovation & Agility:
    • Continuously challenge the status quo and drive operational improvement
    • Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving in a fast-moving environment
    • Embed agile practices into strategy execution and project delivery.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Master’s degree, ideally in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 7+ years in management consulting, strategic planning, corporate development, or executive operations.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to navigate complex organisational systems.
  • Exceptional communication - verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a high-growth, high-speed environment.
