Headquartered in Germany and backed by a leading European technology private equity investor, our partner is hiring a Chief Marketing Officer. With offices in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, the company is transforming the financial services landscape, by digitising regulatory compliance, asset management, and regulatory reporting, while automating credit risk management for banks and insurers globally
Following significant growth and recent investment, the business is now seeking to appoint a CMO. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will sit on the Executive Committee and offer direct exposure to the Private Equity shareholders.
The Opportunity: CMO
The CMO will be tasked with setting the overall marketing positioning, strategy, and execution for the Group, as well as scaling and developing a best-in‑class marketing team and function to meet the considerable growth and strategic ambitions of the business over the coming years.
Leadership
- Providing leadership, direction, and management of the marketing team and managing the marketing budget.
- You will lead the direction for the Group marketing strategy, planning and execution, key priorities to include demand generation (multiple verticals and use cases, inbound and content marketing, events, social media, SEO and branding.)
Strategy
- Define and execute the long‑term global marketing strategy.
- Developing a deep understanding of the customer, including defining customer strategy, audience definition, and key insights into customer needs, journeys, pain points, motivations, attitudes to the category, attitudes to the Group brands and products – and to bring this insight into the business in a way that drives effective marketing and profitable growth, acting as the voice of the customer.
- Understanding the dynamics in the ecosystem, and how to position the Group within that context.
- Building the Group product marketing capability and expertise.
- Implementing and overseeing the execution of strategic marketing campaigns across the business.
Demand Generation
- Working closely with Executive Committee to ensure 100% lock‑step alignment on go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy and demand generation requirements.
- Developing effective marketing materials to support the sales teams and farm maximum value (up‑and cross‑sell) from existing client base.
- Setting up an effective ABM process to support this.
- Drive qualified lead generation via owned and earned channels including web, social, events, partnerships and thought leadership content.
- Implement demand generation strategies to meet or exceed goals to drive top‑line ARR growth.
- Define the right ICP and target segments and form and drive a plan to maximise leads among these segments.
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven success leading marketing transformation in high‑growth SaaS or B2B tech.
- Track record of creating and delivering a full marketing transformation, combining / rebuilding teams to deliver business results and measurable increases in brand and pipeline and marketing driven sales.
- Significant experience of developing a marketing strategy and vision in a high‑growth SaaS business – then owning, leading, and delivering this vision / Marketing roadmap.
- Track record of leading marketing teams with a strong digital component, within high growth companies: either as a number one or a seasoned number two of a growth business who is keen to step up.
- Experience recruiting, managing, and developing a high‑performing, cross‑function, marketing team.
- Have had roles where you have successfully navigated complex regulations and compliance issues and processes.
- You’ll be able to turn your long‑term strategy into medium and short‑term tactical deliverables for your team.

- An excellent communicator, both in writing and conversation, credibility when speaking with a wide range of audiences.
