We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team works to maintain the critical physical infrastructure that supports our Data Center Organization within Amazon, ensuring data center operation at high availability and delivering first-class customer service to relevant teams.
Role overview
The Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) is responsible for operating and maintaining all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The EOT serves as a technical resource to support Amazon within its owned and operated data centers. This equipment supports mission-critical servers and uptime better than 99.999%. EOTs drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. - You have technical training (military/trade school) or equivalent experience in the field.
- You hold electrical qualifications necessary to operate Low Voltage equipment in accordance with German regulations (Elektrofachkraft).
- You have several years of relevant work experience, ideally within data center operations.
- This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.
- You have several years of experience in a data center environment.
- You hold an associates or bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field or mechanical/electrical trades.
- Certified electrician according to German regulations.
