An international trading giant specializing in innovative products and in the chemicals, plastics, electronics, automotive, and life sciences fields is looking for an experienced Chemical Compliance Manager to join their team in Dusseldorf. Fluency in German and English is required for this role.
You will be responsible for ensuring that company products and services, along with related business activities, comply with all relevant national and international laws and regulations, e.g., REACH.

Chemical Compliance Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage all intercompany procedures and processes related to your area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee internal information flow, considering different competencies and levels of discretion.
- Serve as an interface between General Management and decision-makers across divisions.
- Implement and maintain compliance programs to identify risks and prevent or mitigate damages related to legal compliance in all operational countries.
- Manage risk-minimization tools and legal principles across departments.
- Provide consulting on internal requests related to regulatory issues (chemical products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals).
- Monitor and implement legal specifications and ensure compliance.
- Handle submissions of notifications to authorities and relevant bodies (C&L, Inventory, Poison Centre Notification, SCIP database, pharmaceutical agents, and excipients).
- Acquire and verify Safety Data Sheets from external providers.
- Verify and approve product applications and maintain the product database.
- Perform tariff classification of chemical products and articles.
Ideal Candidate:
- University degree, preferably in Chemistry or Toxicology.
- At least 2 years of practical experience in chemicals legislation (REACH, CLP).
- Basic knowledge of Safety Data Sheet preparation and verification.
- Experience with SAP and ECHA tools is preferred.
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
