Job summary

GYMGUYZ of Hudson, Bergen and Rockland is hiring Certified Fitness Coaches and Personal Trainers to work directly with clients in their homes, residential communities, workplaces, and other convenient locations.

You’ll work with a wide variety of people, goals, ages, and ability levels while being supported by an established local fitness company. There is no trainer rent, no waiting for walk-ins, and no routine sales requirement.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized personal training certification required.
• Current CPR/AED certification is required.
• Willingness to travel locally to client appointments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to use mobile apps for programming and notes.

Responsibilities

• Assess individual fitness needs and goals.
• Develop customized exercise programs.
• Coach safe and effective workouts.
• Conduct periodic reassessments and track progress.
• Maintain a consistently professional client experience.
• Manage your scheduled appointments and client notes via mobile tools.

The Role

What We're Looking For

You Should Have

• A nationally recognized personal training certification such as NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or comparable credential
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel locally to client appointments
• Comfort using mobile apps and web-based platforms
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong professionalism and reliability
• Genuine enthusiasm for helping people improve their health and fitness

Experience is valuable, but equally important is your ability to connect with clients, adapt your coaching, and represent the company professionally.
