Job summary

Hannover Re is seeking a part-time Cash Management Specialist for Payment Operations and Bank Account Management at our Hannover headquarters. You will coordinate international payments and bank relationships, analyze data, and drive process improvements in treasury and cash management.

You will work closely with teams across Finance and Global Services, applying SAP and Treasury Management Systems expertise to ensure accurate, timely payments and data quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics with a focus on Finance, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in payment operations, cash management, treasury, accounting, or a similar finance environment.
• Experience with SAP, Treasury Management Systems, or digital payment solutions; ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Fluent German and English for international stakeholder communication.
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with strong analytical abilities.
• Ownership mindset and collaborative cross-functional approach.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bank accounts, powers of attorney, and international payment operations.
• Manage relationships with payment banks and collaborate with Current Accounting, Asset Management, and Finance Global Services.
• Analyze bank master data and improve related processes.
• Investigate failed payments with banks and stakeholders to raise payment success.
• Support outgoing payments, inquiries, reporting, and migrations of bank data.
• Contribute to centralization, digitalization, and automation projects for international payments.

Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the GFA-ACR General Ledger Cash Management team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent, part-time basis (roughly 19 HPW), commencing as soon as possible as a Cash Management Specialist Payment Operations and Bank Account Management. Our team is responsible for the operational management and continuous improvement of international payment operations for Hannover Re and E+S Rück. We work closely with banking partners and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable, efficient, and future-oriented treasury and payment processes. You can look forward to

• Coordinate bank accounts, powers of attorney, and international payment operations, ensuring smooth and reliable processing
• Manage relationships with our payment banks and collaborate closely with Current Accounting, Asset Management, and Finance Global Services
• Analyze bank master data, ensure data quality, and further develop the underlying processes
• Investigate failed payments together with banks and internal stakeholders and implement measures to improve payment success rates
• Support outgoing payment processes as well as business-related inquiries, reporting activities, and migrations of bank accounts, payment connections, and bank master data
• Contribute to projects focused on the centralization, digitalization, and automation of international payment operations

You come equipped with

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics with a focus on Finance, or a comparable commercial qualification
• Several years of experience in payment operations, cash management, treasury, accounting, or a comparable finance-related environment
• Ideally, experience with SAP, Treasury Management Systems, or digital payment solutions, and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems
• Fluent German and English skills for communication with international stakeholders
• A structured and solution-oriented way of working, combined with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex relationships
• Ownership mindset, a collaborative approach to working across functions, and a proactive attitude toward improving processes and driving change initiatives
