Position

We are currently looking for a Calibration and Test Engineering expert in electrical measurement and Instrument Calibration (DAQ systems) for the calibration business at our calibration laboratory in Darmstadt, including developing calibration solutions to use in our global service centers.

Responsibilities

• Short term: improve and certify the existing electrical power calibration setup by the German accreditation body DAkkS.
• Identify, trigger, and implement improvements and upgrades to existing processes to achieve certification.
• Midterm: develop calibration for additional electrical measurands, implement accreditation, and transfer the solution to other countries with HBK calibration labs.

General Description

As a calibration expert for electrical calibration (m/f/d), you will work on the further development of our calibration services in the field of electrical measurands: voltage, current, power, etc. You will conduct metrological investigations and theoretical considerations to expand our know‑how in electrical measurement and high‑frequency measurement, including uncertainty calculation. By addressing prerequisites for accreditation, you will lead the process to achieve accreditation by DAkkS; CNAS; A2AL and others.

Your responsibilities will also include the creation of test concepts and test specifications, from which you will derive the relevant test cases, as well as the documentation of the results. In interdisciplinary groups, you will work with colleagues to continuously improve services associated with our products.

Professional Qualifications

• Hold a Master or at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with electrical applications.
• Experience in metrology standards and accreditation.
• Detail oriented, meets requirements defined in relevant standards.
• Independent, cooperative, committed, reliable, and responsible.
• Good English skills and strong communication skills.
• Must be fluent in German.
