This role includes to develop electric calibration capabilities in our Darmstadt facility, getting these capabilities certified to various standards (DAkkS / ISO 17025) and also to rollout these and solutions into our worldwide calibration lab network (Including to support the accreditation by local accreditation bodies as CNAS and other)**Primary responsibilities**Short term, you will be responsible to get our existing electrical power calibration setup improved and to certify it by the German accreditation body DAkkS. To achieve this, you will work closely with calibration lab team, R&D, Product management, product marketing, technologists and application engineers. Improvements and upgrades to existing processes needed to achieve certification must be identified, triggered and implemented by you. Midterm you develop the calibration of additional electrical measurands, implement the accreditation and transfer the solution to other countries with HBK calibration labs.**General description*** As a calibration expert for electrical calibration (m/f/d) you will work on the further development of our calibration services in the field of electrical measurands: voltage, current, power etc.* By means of metrological investigations and theoretical considerations, you will expand our know-how in the field of electrical measurement and high-frequency measurement as well as their uncertainty calculation.* By addressing the prerequisites and requirements for accreditation, you will lead the process to achieve the accreditation by DAkkS; CNAS; A2AL and other* Your responsibilities will include the creation of test concepts and test specifications, from which you will derive the relevant test cases, as well as the documentation of the results.* In internal interdisciplinary groups, you will work with your colleagues to continuously improve the services associated with our products.**Professional qualifications*** You hold a Master or at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with electrical application, domain and industry experience.* You have a basic knowhow of working against and meeting standards for metrology.* You like to dig into details and to meet requirements defined in relevant standards.* You are characterized by an independent, cooperative way of working and by commitment as well as by reliability and sense of responsibility.* Good English skills, an independent way of working, the willingness to take on responsibility as well as strong communication skills and team spirit round off your profile.**Personal skills*** Highly developed and diversified communication skills and techniques* Knowledge electrical test ideally both operationally (and theoretically preferred)* High standard of professional integrity* Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical skills* Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills**Ways to stand out from the crowd*** A proven record in electrical applications* Experience with calibration standards and processesWe offerThe job will provide you with an opportunity to further your career alongside some of the best and most passionate technology experts from around the world in a leading company within the test and measurement industry.
