Mindrift is seeking a remote, freelance CAD engineer to help train and evaluate AI agents inside a real CAD environment. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and assess agent performance on long engineering tasks.

You’ll collaborate with CFD engineers to simulate the geometry and ensure quality delivery. A 5+ year CAD background with active CAD licensing and Python/GitHub skills is required, with English at B2+.

Formación

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s or PhD is a plus
• 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar). Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar) is a strong plus
• An active professional CAD licence of your own (required)
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above

Project time expectations

For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10-20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $50 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.

Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their requirements.
