The role offers broad exposure to senior management, governance bodies and the regulatory environment of a major European financial institution. The role can be performed in a hybrid model in Munich or Frankfurt, or potentially other SSBI locations.

    • Develop executive-level presentations, briefings and decision materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency and a clear narrative.
    • Maintain visibility of key decisions, actions, dependencies and emerging execution risks across the function.
  2. 2) Regulatory and External Audit Coordination
    • Coordinate Corporate Audit responses to regulators and external auditors, bringing together relevant stakeholders, evidence and submissions.
    • Track requests, commitments and deadlines, ensuring materials are complete, consistent and ready for senior leadership review.
    • Identify and elevate delivery risks, competing priorities and information gaps.
  3. 3) Audit Planning and Resource Management
    • Coordinate the annual and multi-year audit planning process and provide transparency over delivery against plan.
    • Assess the operational impact of proposed plan changes, including implications for timing, resources and capacity.
    • Produce workforce, headcount and capacity analysis to support leadership decision-making.
    • Monitor relevant departmental budget and expense information and support resource planning discussions.
  4. 4) Business Management and Operational Excellence
    • Act as a central point of coordination for key SSBI Corporate Audit priorities, connecting local Audit teams, global Corporate Audit and relevant corporate functions.
    • Coordinate the maintenance of key policies, procedures and operating documentation supporting the SSBI Corporate Audit function.
    • Drive disciplined execution of agreed actions, milestones and commitments and provide senior leadership with transparent progress reporting.
    • Identify opportunities to simplify and strengthen reporting, governance and operational processes.

  • Ability to challenge constructively and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with an ability to see the broader business context.
  • Sound judgment, discretion and a high level of integrity.
Required Experience
  • Relevant experience within internal audit, risk, regulatory affairs, finance, business management or another control function within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of internal audit processes and the governance environment of a regulated financial institution.
  • Experience producing management information, executive reporting and materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating complex planning, governance or operational processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn complex information into concise insights and decision-ready materials.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deliverables in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
